Glorious VIP

Australia, and most other countries receive only a small portion of the Japanese domestic line up.  Manufacturers choose which models get exported as new and import rules determine what is economically safe to bring in.

The early 80’s provided some awesome luxury boxes and Japan supplied the style to make the iconic shape so desirable twenty years later. Check the curved on the rear window.

A mix of old and new is common in the bippu scene, SSR 18s add a touch of new.

While boxy spoilers and simple aero keep it tied in with its origins. Anyone notices one of the VIP essentials missing?

The lack of camber actually helps accentuate the shape of the guards hugging the rubber.

The camber is dialled into the exhaust I guess.

Thanks for looking.
