Expanded Horisions

While shopping in Osaka we discovered a clothing store with some folding bikes out front, they were lined up ready for sale.

I always go for a taste of real Japan, the places where people are surprised to see a foreigner. Away from the cities, to the ends of local rail lines and wherever the chance of seeing something cool steers you. Armed with a pair of 13″ folding bikes and an addictive desire to see as much as possible we were sure to find some gems.

This 86 looked like it had been parked up for some time, pretty obvious when  the flares were joined to the Advan Neova tyres by spider webs.

It looks like the owner does a bit of track work and its cool to see a set of standard bars ready for the next time it needs shaken.

I guess I’ll keep the bike missions under the banner of expanded horizons, theres a folder of images to share with everything from low down rides to small country workshops filled with retro race cars.
