What’s in the Box?

An Item no Kyuusha lover should NOT be without~!

For a while now ive had been practicing my tyre fitting skills, started off with two tyre leavers, car wash for lube, Brake cleaner and a lighter. Slowly I bought my self a manual tyre changer; air compressor and now adding to my equipment list this tyre bead blaster (aka the chetter, cannon or baby elephant).

Assembled ready for use.

Round #1 – SSR 15×8 0off Vs. 175/50R15 Good year eagle.

I was surprised just how easy they went on. I also bought a connection that screws on to your tyre valve (after you remove the inner valve) and a air hose pops on pumping compressed air straight in. added 100psi to the cannon and with a bit of lube on the beads popped them on.

Not a bad looking stretch.

Round #2 SSR MKI 15×11 -26 Vs. 205/55 R15 GT Radials.

Unfortunately they wouldn’t hold air due to the side walls being sooo stiff and not giving much flex. a bit of a misunderstanding when people stretch tyres is not all tyre makes are the same and some 195/50 r15’s will stretch better than another brand of the same size. Which is proven in my next attempt which worked with even a lower profile tyre.
Round #3 SSR 15×11-26 Vs. Admiral 205/50 R15’s

Win!!! I drift on these tyres as they ware quite well, don’t flat spot when I brake lock up/long hand brake slide and best of all… CHEEP! So these stretching as well as they do suits me fine.

Hopefully ill post more pics of my stretching antics later on so stay tuned.
