The ‘BosoZoku’ AE86

Frequenting ae86 and ke70 forums these days you will read of guys pop up saying there car is going to be “boso” or “bosozoku” because they love the style or they want to do something other than the “drift” look, and all they end up doing is lowering them on 14×7’s with no stretch, running an upturned exhaust and a hangring. But when you see there cars compared to the real deal it makes there efforts look in vein.

Now don’t get me wrong~! There are a lot of guys out there driving corolla’s with the love of Zokusha in there heart and want to emulate it as much a possible for the right reasons but can’t on a shoe string budget and still have a road legal slide car. And the general consensus is that that both the AE86 & ke70’s are not a real popular car for this style, in all the years I’ve been into Kyuusha & Bosozoku styled cars I’ve only ever come across one car that is true to the style, this one.

Seeing this in the flesh is breath taking, unfortunately the car was involved in an accident and there owner wasn’t even driving at the time. I have limited specs on the car but I can tell you it’s a CA18 running 14×11’s with 185/60 all round, long nose (aka the shark nose), works fenders (wide over fenders) & the suspension is running on bump stops all round.

Interior is bare min, insane size shift knob and small steering wheel

Ive been told the owner of the car used to drift it, and drift it quite well considering his suspension set up and plans to reshell it soon as well.

Thanks for reading
