Asayan’s AE86 @ MSC Round 10

first noticed this 86 pop up a few months back on Nori Yaro and on random pic threads on forums i frequent and people going ape over it, but nothing beats seeing this thing in the flesh.

Tan? Bone? Kaki? Cream? with black trim.never looked so good on an 86.

14×8 or 8.5’s hayashi streets’s with the slanted lip and running 185/55 R14’s are amazing up close. an expensive wheel but they have a timeless style about them

the attention to detail on his engine was intense, speed flow fittings, polished carbs with high polish intake throttles, the fuel feed line was perfectly bent as well as lines at the back of the 4A’s head to the catch can and even the radiator piping was made from stainless, high polished and tig welded to the correct bends with silicon couplers on each end.

The best part about this car is the fact that most westerners would reshell if there 86 chassis rails got bent, or spent the money on getting them straightened out, but as mint as this car is check out how bent Asayan’s are… Awesome! I’ve been told it’s an in thing to keep the same drift car for years or maybe its because ae86’s are getting pretty thin on the ground in Japan but for what ever reason it just goes to show you that you don’t need a granny spec car to build something tidy like this.

Forget granny spec. Takin’ abeat up already used car is much more rewarding in the end.
