C210 skyline on air, true Zokusha or not?
Hunting thru YouTube for new clips I came across this gem. a C210 4 door Skyline, DEEEEEEPPPPP XR4′s, Works Fenders, Sliver & Purple paint and all the other trinkets that adds to the style with Airbags installed. Generally speaking the most traditional way of hitting a low down stance is to remove the springs, just run on shock absorbers only. You would be surprised that some of the most well known Zokusha on the net run this set up. Failing that the good old coilover conversion is done which is more in keeping with the Racing side of the style.
So what’s the answer? Well traditionally speaking it seams to go against the style but for people building Zokusha it other countries where the roads aren’t silky smooth like in Japan this could be your answer to avoiding problems police (potentially) and stoping yourself getting stuck on driveways. Mr DanDFX is looking at a set up for his soon to be daily C32 laurel so ill be keeping a good eye on that as Progress happens.

i’d put air bags only in cars i knew 100% i wouldnt slide… like my kenmeri.
It’s a very practical idea, and i do like this car, i have the image above on my desktop rotation already. Unfortunately in QLD airbags are sometime as difficult to get legal as no springs! silly laws made by uneducated folks.
Wont be slid too often, but will have some handling parts added on.
Went in to be looked at today, so should be back soon i hope.
